"Vivaldi Variation" is inspired by the first movement, the Allegro, of Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Strings in G minor, RV 156. When I heard the piece performed in a concert in 2018, I was immediately captivated by this work that sounded so modern to me. The music stayed with me, and shortly afterwards, while improvising at the piano, the idea for this variation came to me.
